RERA in Maharashtra

On May 1st, 2017, the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) was established. Maharashtra, considered to be one of the most active real estate regulatory bodies in India, was the first state to launch a conciliation mechanism under Section 32(g) of the RERA through ADR (ADR). Any aggrieved promoter or allottee (as defined by RERA) may use the MahaRERA-instituted conciliation procedure. A specific website has been made for this purpose, and anyone can access it even through the MahaRERA website. As per the latest information available on the Maharashtra RERA website, the authority has approved over 30,000 projects till date.
