Property Card

In Maharashtra, a government-certified property ownership title document known as a Malmatta Patrak or property card is used. The property card, also known as the Record of Right (RoR), contains extensive information regarding who owns the land and who has held it in the past. In Maharashtra, local administrations provide property cards to prove ownership in urban areas while issuing 7/12 extracts in rural regions. Malmatta patrak, also known as a property card, is examined in-depth in this article.

An electronic document with 16 MB of capacity called a “Property card” is used to hold important property-related data. This comprises, among other things, information on all previous transactions for a piece of land, prior owners, the survey number, the name of the community, and the assessment rate. The smart card was created to promote transparency in the land administration in general and offer clarity on the ownership title on a piece of land in particular.
